THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The Kerala University has issued a notice to all 15 senate members of Kerala University, who were sacked by the Governor, informing them about the Governor's action. This is after the Governor notified the removal of the 15 members. It has also been informed that two of the sacked members have lost their syndicate membership.

The Governor sacked the members for not attending the Senate meeting called on the Governor's directive to appoint the search committee representative to elect the new VC of the University of Kerala. The sacked members cannot attend the Senate meetings called on November 4 and 19. The invitation letter sent to them earlier by VC will be considered withdrawn.

Although Minister R Bindu had stated that the search committee representative would be selected in the Senate meeting on November 4, this has not been included in the agenda.

Sacked members to move High Court

The sacked senate members will file a case against the governor in the High Court next week.
