KOCHI: A policeman was arrested for stealing gold from his friend’s house. The arrested is Amal Dev of A R Camp in the city. He stole the gold from the house of Natesan in Njarackal, Ernakulam. The cop stole gold of ten sovereigns belonging to Natesan’s daughter-in-law.

The case of a cop stealing mangoes from a wholesale shop in Kottayam was settled the other day. P V Shihab of Idukki A R Camp stole the mangoes from the shop. The CCTV visuals of it had circulated the other day. Following that, a case was registered.

However, the complainant shop keeper filed a plea in the Kanjirappally Judicial First Class Magistrate Court demanding to settle the case as the accused had compensated his loss. The court had accepted his plea.
