THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The LDF is all set to organize a protest against the governor who has taken a stand against the government and universities. The decision was taken in the CPM state secretariat meeting convened here Friday. The CPM state secretariat has decided to expose the threat of Governor Arif Mohammed Khan in the name of the authority which he do not have. The Left Front is moving towards open protest. The governor's threat to withdraw the ministers is politically motivated. The opinion raised in the CPM Secretariat meeting was to expose this move of the Governor.
Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan had earlier indirectly criticized the Governor's action. Meantime, 15 people who were expelled from the Kerala University Senate by the Governor have approached the high court. They approached the court demanding to cancel it. The plea will be considered shortly. The registrar also issued an official notice to those expelled. With this, the invitation letter to attend the meeting to be convened between November 4 and 19 will be considered withdrawn.
