MALAPPURAM: The policeman who beat a plus one student in the middle of the road in Kizhissery has been suspended. Abdul Aziz, the driver of Kozhikode's Mavoor station, has been suspended for investigation. The incident happened on October 13.

Muhammad Anshid, a plus one student of Kuzhimanna Higher Secondary School, was assaulted. Two cops assaulted him when he was waiting for the bus in Kizhissery. The student was assaulted on the day a group of students clashed in Kuzhimanna Higher Secondary School. Muhammad Anshid had nothing to do with the clash. The student was kicked in his stomach.

Abdul Qader, driver of Edavanna police station involved in the incident was transferred. Special Branch DySP had given a report that there was a lapse on the part of two police officers.
