KANNUR: The accused in the murder of Vishnupriya in Panoor is hinted to have been surrendered. He has been identified as Shyamjith of Manantheri in Koothuparambu. Reports say love failure is the reason for the murder. The accused has confessed to the crime. Her phone calls turned crucial in the investigation.

The accused had a friendly relation with her earlier. It is suspected that the friendly relations that broke led to the crime. The accused is being interrogated.

What the accused did was a horrendous crime. She was found lying dead in her bed. Her neck was found slit and hanging. Both her hands were found hacked. Her grandma died four days ago. She reached home to change her clothes. When her mother came in search of her as she was not seen for a long time, found her lying dead.

Unconfirmed reports say the accused came there when she was video calling her friend. She showed her friend through phone the youth coming and told his name also. The phone got disconnected immediately.
