NEW DELHI: Prime Minister, Narendra Modi, has begun the process of appointing 10 lakh people to different departments of the Central Government. The Prime Minister inaugurated the big job fest called ‘Rozgar Mela’ through video conferencing. He handed over 75,000 government job appointments to the candidates in the function.

Narendra Modi spoke with those who are on the rank list. Central Ministers from different cities also participated in the program. Central Government’s 38 departments will begin an intake of 10 lakh candidates in the coming one and a half years. The postings are in the defence, railways, home, and labor ministries, and in the CISF, CBI, customs, and banking.

Last June, the Prime Minister had promised to provide jobs for 10 lakh persons within one and a half years and also will give appointments to 75000 youths before Diwali.

10 lakh vacancies in Central Government’s various departments are as follows: Group A (gazette) – 23584, Group B (gazette) – 26282 Group B (non-gazette) – 92525, Group C – 8.36 lakhs.

More vacancies are in the defence department, railways, and the home department.
