THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Governor Arif Mohammed Khan said that he would speak to journalists but not to party cadres. The Governor said this while replying to queries by journalists soon after the chief minister convened a press meet in governor’s issue seeking the resignation of the vice chancellors of the universities.
The Governor said that he is not able to identify the original journalists and the CPM cadres masquerading as journalists. He said that he would not speak to such people and those who want to talk to him can file an application through Raj Bhavan. The governor promised to speak to such people. The response would be official through Raj Bhavan.
The governor had earlier announced to boycott the Malayalam media. The governor alleged that journalists are keeping silent on the chief minister's anti-media stance. The governor had alleged that the media are not even considering their own self-respect even after the chief minister asked them to get out. Meantime, the Governor said that he would meet the Hindi and English media separately.
