PALAKKAD: Chief Minister, Pinarayi Vijayan, has warned the Governor following High Court’s ruling allowing eight Vice Chancellor’s to continue till the Governor’s final order comes. The CM said that the Governor must not think he can cross the limits of his authority.
Pinarayi Vijayan also added that the Governor’s nudge did not work and asked him not to forget the rules and regulations.
After considering the pleas submitted challenging the Governor’s instruction to the VCs to resign, the High Court said that they can continue for now. The status quo will remain till the Governor’s final order. The court also said that the letter demanding the resignation and the show cause notice is now void.
The High Court verdict comes after a special sitting to consider the pleas by the VCs.
