THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Amid the tug-of-war between the governor and the government, Congress MP K Muraleedharan criticized the governor demanding the resignation of VCs. "All the VCs were appointed by this governor. Why it was accepted then? The governor is jumping into action. Is governor a king?" he asked. Saying that the party has only one policy in India, Muraleedharan brushed aside the opposition leader's stand. He also stated that there was no time to discuss the matter within the party.

"The government-governor war is a war of saffronization and Marxistization. The Chief Minister is trying to install people in CPM and the Governor is trying to appoint BJP people. A street fight is about to take place. Universities will be in disarray. The opposition has no role in this. The problem should be solved. Both parties were wrong in this. Action was taken against all the VCs in the guise of the Supreme Court verdict. UDF does not have the approach of promoting governors. Efforts are being made to carry out saffronization through governors. I will not agree to any game played with the Governor. Sudhakaran and Satheesan should be asked whether they know the national policy. I will not agree to replace the VCs", Muraleedharan said.

Meanwhile, PK Kunhalikutty said that there is no change in the IUML's stand. "Not all the stances of the governor can be accepted. There will be democratic protests inside and outside the House.", he said.
