THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: BJP state president K Surendran said that Finance minister KN Balagopal will have to resign. “Pinarayi Vijayan should immediately prefer the resignation of Balagopal. If the issue continues, it would worsen and the government would suffer a major setback,” warned Surendran.He was responding to the Governor's letter to the Chief Minister demanding Balagopal's dismissal.
“Every decision taken by the Governor is as per law. Ministers have violated their oath. They are protesting against Governor on streets because they can’t question it legally, “added BJP president.
The Governor sent a letter to the chief minister pointing that he has lost pleasure in the finance minister. The Governor in his letter had demanded the dismissal of the finance minister. Balagopal's speech against the Governor is the reason for the action. The letter also accused that Balagopal has violated oath.
