THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The government issued an order Wednesday implementing salary revision in Water Authority, which made the minimum salary Rs 23,000 and the maximum salary Rs 1.66 lakh. It is estimated that the government will have an additional liability of Rs 60 crore annually through this. It is with retrospective effect from 2019.
The arrears will be credited to the PF in 4 equal installments. Along with this, DA has increased by 7% since April last year. Dues under this will also be transferred to PF instead of cash. According to the recommendations of the committee chaired by Mohandas, the order was issued after holding discussions with the organizations. 8700 employees will benefit from the revision. The reform was implemented by dividing the employees into 6 categories namely Administrative, Engineering, Ministerial, Technical, Operating and Miscellaneous.
