KOCHI: The police found that the woman murdered in Elamkulam, Ernakulam was not Lakshmi but it is Nepal native Bhagirathi (35). The deceased lived in Kochi for three years under the fake name Lakshmi along with accused Ram Bahadur Bishti(46).

The person was identified through an investigation based on the phone number. The police informed the relatives about Bhagirathi's death. They may reach Kochi the next day. The police are hoping to catch the accused soon. The post-mortem was completed and the body was shifted to the morgue.

The body was found wrapped in a plastic cover inside the rented house. The preliminary post-mortem report states that she was strangled to death. A special team headed by Ernakulam ACP Rajkumar is investigating the case.
