KOLLAM: A lawyer was shot at in Kottarakkara. Mukesh, a native of Pulamon, was injured. He was shot from an airgun during dispute with his neighbour. The incident happened at 11:30 pm last night.

Mukesh was shot at in his shoulder. He has been admitted at Thiruvananthapuram Medical College Hospital. A surgery to take the bullet out will be conducted soon. Prime Alex, his neighbour was arrested in the case. A case of murder attempt has been registered against him.

There was another person with the accused when the incident happened. He was also taken into custody. Mukesh and Alex are neighbours. There are some issues between the two. Alex had earlier attacked Mukesh's parents after barging into his house.
