THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Minister Mohammed Riyas on Thursday came to the aid of an elderly person, who got injured in a car accident. Following the minister's intervention, the elderly person, who suffered serious injuries in the accident, was taken to the hospital in a pilot vehicle. The accident took place at around 5 pm near Venpalavattom in Thiruvananthapuram.

The elderly man, who was travelling on a bike, was hit by a car. The minister's convoy was passing through this route at this time. Upon seeing the injured person, the minister stopped the car and immediately rushed him to KIMS Hospital in the pilot vehicle. The injured person remains under observation in the emergency department.
