ALAPPUZHA: CPM State Secretary MV Govindan said that the LDF will lead the state-wide popular resistance along with legal moves against the governor who is trying to destroy Kerala by acting as a tool of the RSS. He was speaking at a conference held in Vayalar in connection with the conclusion of the Punnapra-Vayalar Martyrs' week.
"We have decided to extend the strike, which was originally planned to be held only in front of the Raj Bhavan in Thiruvananthapuram on November 15, to various district centres based on the demand of the people. The Governor has been reduced to an agent of the BJP and the RSS, who are making moves to destroy Kerala, which is growing as a model for the country. The Governor is causing issues with nonexistent powers at a time when the central government is agonizing Kerala by denying benefits worth Rs 29,000 crore to the state. The situation of the opposition in Kerala, which is conniving with this, is extremely pathetic," Govindan said.
NS Sivaprasad presided over the conference. Minister P Prasad, CPM Central Committee Members TM Thomas Isaac, CS Sujatha, CPI National Control Commission Chairman Panniyan Ravindran, CB Chandrababu, AM Arif MP, C PM District Secretary R Nasser, CPI District Secretary TJ Angelos and PK Sabu also spoke at the conference.
