BALUSSERY: The assistant coach of Usha School of Athletics in Kinalur was found hanging. She has been identified as Jayanthi (27), a native of Coimbatore in Tamil Nadu. She was found hanging in her hostel room Friday morning.

Jayanthi joined Usha School of Athletics in Kinalur a year ago. The reason for the suicide is not clear. There were allegations earlier that students and staff of the school were under mental stress. The Baluserry police started investigation into the incident. The statements of fellow coaches and students will be taken. The inquest proceedings have begun.
