BATHERY: A tiger which was on the prowl at Cheeral in Wayanad has been caged. The tiger which was creating fear in the area for a month was trapped in the cage set by the forest department near the Thottamoola forest office. The tiger has been shifted to the shelter in Bathery.

The tiger had attacked thirteen cows so far. The team led by the wildlife warden searched for the tiger for several days, including in the inner forest, but there was no result.

Then 18 surveillance cameras and three cages were set up to trace the tiger. A three-member team led by chief veterinary surgeon Arun Zacharia and the RRT team had camped in the area. The tiger is more than ten years old. The pictures of the tiger were captured in the forest department's camera in 2016. Cheeral is an area adjacent to the Wayanad Wildlife Sanctuary.
