NEW DELHI: Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has written a letter to Prime Minister Narendra Modi urging him to issue currency notes with the images of Goddess Lakshmi and Lord Ganesh. Kejriwal, who had earlier raised his demand openly has now written a letter to the Prime Minister requesting to implement it immediately. The letter mentioned that the images of the gods should be included along with Mahatma Gandhi and it is the desire of 130 crore Indians.
Kejriwal said the country’s economy is in a very bad condition and only gods’ blessings will save the economic prosperity of the country. The demand to include images of Hindu Gods in the currency is the only remedy to remove the hurdles. He had referred to Indonesia, a Muslim nation that has a picture of Lord Ganesh on its currency note.
Political observers have already made it clear that Kejriwal is playing such a play ahead of the upcoming assembly elections in states including Gujarat and the 2024 Lok Sabha elections. It is almost clear that Kejriwal's aim is to take over the governance of India by stopping the BJP, which is trying to achieve the goal of an opposition-free India, away from Congress-free India. The fact that other leaders of the Aam Aadmi Party also came forward with Kejriwal's demand to include images of gods is a clear proof of this. However, the BJP is ignoring Kejriwal's demand.
