HYDERABAD: More information has been released regarding the alleged poaching attempt of TRS MLAs by BJP as part of ‘Operation Lotus’ and the arrest of three accused. A code language was used between the police and the MLAs to send a message to enter the farmhouse in Aziz Nagar, Hyderabad. 'Bring coconut water’ (Nariyal paani layiyae) was the code for the police.

The remand report submitted by the Cyberabad Police to the Anti-Corruption Bureau also states that before the arrest, a camera was installed in the hall of the farmhouse. The arrested persons are industrialist and owner of Deccan Pride Hotel, Union Minister G Kishan Reddy's close friend Nanda Kumar, Swami Ramachandra Bharti alias Satish Sharma, a priest in Faridabad and Simhayaji Swamyat, a native of Tirupati. They arrived in farmhouse to have discussion with TRS MLAs G Balaraju, Beeram Harshavardhan Reddy, Rega Kanta Rao and Pilot Rohit Reddy. Police also stated that a voice recorder was given to Rohit Reddy to record the conversation with them.

Rs 15 crore were seized from the arrested persons. The MLAs were offered between Rs 50-100 crores. Important positions were also promised. There are reports that the MLAs were threatened with criminal cases and face raids by the ED and CBI if they did not join the BJP. It was Nanda Kumar who coordinated things and brought the others to Hyderabad. The police seized their car and several bags. The raid was conducted as MLA Rohit Reddy informed the police. The three arrested persons have been shifted to Moinabad police station under tight security.
