THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: A 24-year-old hotel employee was found hanging in her rented house. The dead identified as Vedanshi Kumari, a native of Gangtok in Sikkim, was found hanging in the kitchen early Saturday morning.

She was staying with two natives of Sikkim and three Keralites on top floor of the rented house at Plavila Junction in Kovalam. The house owner was staying on the ground floor. The other inmates told police that she was seen talking on the phone till late night. She was found hanging on the curtain rod and the body was almost touching on the ground. There is no mystery in her death. Only after getting the post-mortem the real cause of death could be ascertained, said Kovalam SHO Bijoy.
