She got fourth rank for BA in English Literature from M S University in Tamil Nadu. The police suspect her influence of watching horror films helped her in killing him in a brutal manner. It was this that gave her the courage to face the investigation and police questioning.

Greeshma told police that she threw the poison bottle in the field and was careful in her behavior before the police. She searched Google and understood in detail what the police interrogation would be like. Though the police grew suspicious on the death, she was questioned several times, but she was cool. But Greeshma faltered during hours of interrogation, with her parents and alone, and then confessed everything.
