KOCHI: A protest was staged against the police for implicating lawyers in the case against Perumbavoor MLA Eldhose Kunnappillil. The lawyers boycotted the Kerala High Court and due to this, the court proceedings were interrupted.

The cases to be considered were postponed as they failed to appear when the court proceedings started. The lawyers announced about the boycott after calling an emergency general body meet.

A case was filed under the non-bailable section against the lawyers who appeared for Eldhose Kunnappillil in the complaint of attacking the woman. The case was registered against advocates Alex, Sudheer and Jose. The complainant had testified that she tried to settle the case in the lawyer's office and in the meanwhile the MLA beat her.
