KOCHI: Mega star Mammootty wished Oommen Chandy on his birthday after calling on him at the Aluva Palace. Chandy will be leaving for Germany for treatment. Mammootty wished the former chief minister a speedy recovery. In the meanwhile, an observation of the actor made everyone laugh.

Activists think that his messy hair is Chandy's identity. He shows no interest in combing his hair. Today it was combed and set properly. The actor noticed this and commented as a ‘good style’. This made everyone laugh.

Chandy is under treatment for throat issues in Rajagiri Hospital in Aluva. He is leaving for Berlin Charite Medical University in Germany seeking expert opinion. After consultations, he will continue treatment in Rajagiri Hospital.

Chandy has got the visa to Germany. He will leave as soon as he gets the doctor’s appointment. He will be accompanied by his children Maria Oommen and Chandy Oommen. The party will bear his medical expenses. Chandy has been undergoing treatment since 2015. He had sought treatment in USA in 2019. He was later undergoing treatment in Rajagiri. He is seeking treatment abroad following his difficulty in speaking.
