THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan on Monday said that many projects that are important for the advancement of Kerala are nearing completion and this should be seen as part of the Left Front's governance culture of implementing the promises in the manifesto.

"This time the Left Front had put forward 900 promises. We have taken preliminary measures in 85 percent of them. 40 lakh job opportunities will be created by 2026. We are proceeding with the activities to make Kerala progressive by giving importance to value-added industries, making progress in the field of advanced technology and reforming the field of higher education," Chief Minister stated in an article on the occasion of Kerala Piravi Day.


"When the Left Front came to power in 2016, there were 640 companies and 78,068 employees in three IT parks in Kerala. The area of ​​IT parks was one and a half crore square feet. IT exports were worth 9,753 crores. Today there are 1,106 companies and 1,35,288 employees in the state. The area of ​​IT parks is more than 2 crore square feet. IT exports worth Rs 17,356 crore are taking place in Kerala today. Four IT corridors are being established parallel to National Highway 66. These originate from IT centres. The corridors are from Thiruvananthapuram Technopark Phase Three to Kollam, Cherthala to Ernakulam, Ernakulam to Koratty and Kozhikode to Kannur. 15 to 25 acres of land suitable for IT Park will be acquired parallel to the National Highway. 20 small satellite IT parks with an area of ​​50,000 to 2 lakh square feet will be set up on the acquired land. During the tenure of this government, 90,168 small and medium enterprises were started. 75,000 enterprises were started in the first 200 days. Through this, 4,694 crores of investments were procured and 1,65,301 jobs were created. Of these, 25,000 enterprises are owned by women," the CM said.
