THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: It is hinted that the crime branch is also investigating the suspicion that the murder of Sharon Raj, is a case of honour killing. It is suspected that Greeshma's marriage to Sharon, who belongs to a different religion, was a clearly planned murder.

The investigation team said her revenge towards Sharon for not withdrawing from the relationship despite requests, led to the murder. Her mother and uncle were arraigned as the second and third accused for destroying evidence.

The preliminary conclusion of the crime branch is that Greeshma's father, a hotel worker, was not at home on the day of the incident and apparently had no involvement in the murder. Meantime, Sharon's family members were summoned to the Neyyattinkara police station and their statements were taken yesterday. Sharon's father Jayaraj, mother Priya and elder brother Shimon Raj along with uncle Sathyaseelan reached the station.
