KOCHI: Opposition leader V D Satheesan said raising pension age in public sector institutions is the beginning of the decision to increase the pension age in the government service as well. When decided to increase the pension age from 55 to 56 during the previous government's tenure, those protested on the streets then have now raised it to 60. The government should clarify what prompted them to take a decision that casts a shadow over the future of the youth. The UDF will strongly oppose this decision disappointing the youth of Kerala. UDF youth organizations, including the Youth Congress, will protest against the government's decision.
