THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The murder of Parassala native, Sharon, by giving him Ayurvedic medicine laced with pesticide will be handed over to Tamil Nadu police. Sharon’s murder took place at Ramavarman Chira, which is in Tamil Nadu. So legally, the Tamil Nadu police must investigate the case.

The case was registered in Kerala and the investigation began on the basis of the complaint that Sharon’s parents lodged with Parassala police station. Also, the hospital where Sharon underwent medical treatment gave notification about the poisoning.

At first, the Parassala police registered a case for unnatural death. Then the Rural District Crime Branch investigated the case and found it to be a homicide and arrested Sharon’s lover, Greeshma, her mother, and her uncle.

Kerala police will question the accused who are in remand and will gather evidence. They will then hand over the case to Tamil Nadu police to submit the charge sheet in court. The case will be transferred through the Tamil Nadu DGP after the intervention of the Kerala police chief.

The Sharon murder will be registered under a new number in Tamil Nadu. After this, the Kallikavila police will submit the charge sheet and begin the trial proceedings.

Sharon’s parents are worried about transferring the case to Tamil Nadu police. They say that the financially well-off and influential family of Greeshma might influence the witnesses and destroy the evidence. Sharon’s family is thinking about approaching the court against the transfer of the case to Tamil Nadu police.
