THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: As per the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD), heavy rain is likely to continue in the state. The Center has informed that there is a possibility of widespread rain from today till Sunday (November 6). The rains are due to the effect of cyclonic circulation over the northern Tamil Nadu coast and adjoining areas. There is also a low pressure area extending over Kerala and Tamil Nadu to the southeast Arabian Sea. Hence, widespread rain is likely in the state till Sunday. The IMD has warned that there is a possibility of severe thunder and lightning in some places.
