MUMBAI: A man has been arrested for shooting Instagram video by sitting on Sub inspector’s chair in the police station. The accused is Surendra Patil, a builder in Dombivli, Mumbai. He filmed the video when he came to the police station in connection with a complaint. The Instagram video of him sitting on SI’s chair went viral.

Some people had extorted money from Surendra Patil, saying that if he gave them Rs 25 lakh, they would make crores rain from the sky. Following his complaint, the police arrested the accused. Patil shot the video when he reached the police station to collect this money back. He regularly posts videos on Instagram and when he saw the SI's chair lying empty, he recorded the video by sitting on it.

The police took action after this video went viral on Instagram. During the subsequent investigation, the police found another video of him with a gun. When his Benz car was inspected, a sword was also found in it. So, a case for possession of arms were also filed against him. There are seven cases against him, including misbehaving with women and for electricity theft.
