THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Malayinkeezhu native Santhosh, who was arrested for sexually assaulting a woman doctor near the museum compound, has been sacked from the post of the driver of Minister Roshy Augustine's personal staff.

It was earlier found that Santhosh was the one who tried to break into a house at Kuravankonam and the one who sexually assaulted a female doctor near the museum compound. He was arrested on Tuesday night. The police arrested Santhosh on charges of trespassing and attempted theft. The complainant, who was sexually assaulted, had identified the accused during the identification parade held at Peroorkada station. Subsequently, Santhosh's arrest was recorded in the museum case as well.

The police had found that Santhosh, driver of Water Resources Minister Roshy Augustine’s private secretary, had misused the state car. Santhosh came to the crime scene in the official vehicle after covering the board. Police said that he came in the same car for attacking the woman as well. The police have obtained the visuals of it.
