THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The SFI activists stopped Dr Ciza Thomas when she came to take charge as the temporary vice chancellor of the Kerala Technical University. She later entered the university with police protection. The clash is being staged by many including students and employees. She responded that she came expecting protests.
‘This is only an additional charge. The decision is to fulfill it till a permanent vice chancellor is appointed. The absence of a VC is impossible in an important university like this. The affairs of the students can be done only if such a person is there. As soon as the news came that a temporary VC has been appointed, more than 200 mails like our results have not come, has to enter job, etc came. Hope when good things are done for the students, all these issues will end,’ said Dr Ciza.
