THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Ever since the police released a sketch of the person accused of attacking a woman doctor in the museum premises, social media has been flooded with trolls. People drew similarities even with the football icon Lionel Messi. It didn't stop there either, there were trolls comparing all the bearded celebrities to the sketch. But with the arrest of the accused, all the trolls turned into praise. AR Ajithkumar, former Special Branch SI and sketch artist say that none of this has affected him.

Ajith Kumar has been key in finding clues in various cases in the state including this one. Sketches of notorious thief 'Bunty Chor' and Rajesh, the accused in Vattapara Arya murder case were drawn by Ajith. He uses his own observation and experience for each sketch, in addition to capturing the eyewitness accounts of the suspects. It was the cooperation of the female doctor who had been assaulted that helped Ajith prepare the sketch which led to the arrest of the suspect in the museum assault case.

After seeing the picture that was drawn within 20 minutes, she was more or less convinced. Meanwhile, a sketch without moustache and beard was also drawn for the investigation team. After the CCTV footage came out, the attacker was confirmed. Ajith Kumar, a native of Pachalloor, retired as a Special Branch SI who worked with senior police officers at various stations.
