THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Kerala witnessed widespread protest from various corners of society as the footage of a young man kicking a six-year-old boy for leaning on his car went viral. Even as the government and the police reiterate that they will take strict action in the incident, many are questioning the police action of releasing the accused from custody soon after the incident.

'Humanity is not something you can buy in a store. The incident in Kannur was shocking. It's cruel to kick a six-year-old for leaning on a car.' - This was the response of Minister V. Sivankutty.
