THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: CPM has made a crucial move against Governor Arif Mohammad Khan, who is at loggerheads with the government over the appointment of vice-chancellors in Kerala's universities. The government will introduce an ordinance to remove the governor from the post of chancellor. The CPM state committee has given permission to the government in this regard.

The government will introduce a bill in the assembly If the governor does not sign the ordinance. The state committee meeting also decided to approach the court if the governor sends the bill back without signing it. Prior to this, the government will also seek the support of the opposition. The party tasked the government to take further action. The CPM is also planning to organize an agitation against the governor along with the national parties. Prior to this, Sitaram Yechury, D.
