THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: CPM Thiruvananthapuram district secretary Anavoor Nagappan while talking to the media said the party will look into the allegation that Thiruvananthapuram Corporation Mayor Arya Rajendran had sent him a letter. He said necessary action will be taken. He said let the mayor investigate the incident. His response was after her letter asking party secretary for a list of party activists for temporary posts in the corporation, courted controversy.

Anavoor said that he had told yesterday that he had not received such a letter. No further clarification is required. Talked to mayor and she said would take legal action. Let's find out what the facts are. The mayor has the right to take legal action. I don't know if the letter is fake. It is the interest of some others to establish factionalism in the party. The party will examine everything, he said.

His response was after Mayor Arya Rajendran gave an explanation to the party on the allegations of sending the letter. The mayor had given an explanation to Anavoor Nagappan on phone that she had not prepared the letter and that would file a complaint with the commissioner to investigate about the letter that surfaced.

In the meanwhile, CPM district leadership have called an urgent meeting. District secretariat and district committee will convene on Monday. There may be action in the letter controversy. CPM state secretary M V Govindan is likely to attend the meeting. The BJP said they will report the problems in the corporation to Governor Arif Mohammed Khan.
