KOZHIKODE: Depressed at the thought of going bald, a youth committed suicide in Kozhikode. He has been identified as Prashanth, a native of the district. A suicide note mentioning the name of the doctor who treated him, has been obtained.

The note said that he has been taking medicine for hair loss since 2014. Only minor hair loss was there at the time of contacting the clinic. However, after treatment started, his eyebrows started receding. I can't bear this. He had informed this to the doctor several times, but he kept on giving medicines again.

His note said that he cannot even go for a gathering. His note said that he is taking the extreme step as he could not bear the hair loss. He ended his life on October 1. His family had lodged a complaint with the police. His family told a media that they are not satisfied with the investigation.
