THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: A protest is being staged in front of the mayor’s house in the letter controversy. CPM workers attacked a KSU activist for waving black flags at the mayor. The KSU workers protested while she was entering into her official vehicle from her house in Mudavanmugal. Sensing an attack, the police and CPM workers were already in the spot. KSU activists have been taken into custody in the incident.

Meantime, the BJP and UDF councilors have intensified their protest in front of the corporation. The BJP tied a flag in front of the offices of Mayor Arya Rajendran and D R Anil. The councilors are lying and protesting in front of the mayor's office. The protest was led by M R Gopan of the BJP and others.

In the meanwhile, the crime branch is starting the preliminary investigation on the controversial letter. As part of this, they will first record the mayor's statement. The statements of D R Anil and CPM district secretary Anavoor Nagappan will be taken.
