THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Mayor Arya Rajendran reached the corporation office amidst opposition protests in the letter controversy. The mayor reached the office while BJP councilors were protesting inside the corporation office and the congress leaders outside the office. Apart from the police, she came under the protection of CPM councilors. She got engaged in her official duty after reaching her chamber.

The mayor got out of her car in front of the corporation office and reached the office by taking the way near the council hall leaving the place where the BJP workers were protesting. The gate was closed after the mayor entered. Then she reached the office through her personal assistant’s room. The BJP workers were also protesting at the main gate in front of the mayor's office.

The mayor reached her office about an hour late. Apart from the main door of the mayor’s office, the BJP workers also protested against CPM parliamentary secretary D R Anil. The police asked the protestors to move several times, but when they were not ready, they were arrested and removed.
