JAIPUR: A teacher in Rajasthan changed her gender and married her own student. Meera of Bharatpur and a physical education teacher underwent a gender change surgery and became a male to marry her student, Kalpana Fouzdar. The two got married on Sunday.

Meera who changed her name to Aarav Kuntal said that she underwent the surgery to marry her love. Though born a girl I always wanted to be a boy. The first surgery was in 2019. The two met during physical education classes in school and fell in love in between that.

Kalpana said that she was in love with Aarav from the beginning and would have married him even if he had not undergone the surgery. The two got married with the blessings of their families. Kalpana, a state level Kabbadi player will be travelling to Dubai to attend an international kabaddi tournament held in January.
