MUMBAI: A man who was released from prison was brutally killed by a 15-member gang in Maharashtra. The deceased is Mahesh Meshram (35), accused in many criminal cases, and a native of Durgapur in Maharashtra.

A gang of 15 people attacked him last night. After a brutal beating, the gang killed Mahesh by beheading him. Eyewitnesses say that the attackers kicked the severed head. Witnesses said that the assailants threw the head on the street and played with it like a ball. The motive for the murder is unclear.

The severed head was found 50 meters away from the dead body of the young man. No further information is available about the incident. Police have launched a manhunt for the accused.
