BENGALURU: The Karnataka High Court on Tuesday stayed the Bengaluru court's order to block the Twitter accounts of the Congress party and the Bharat Jodo Yatra. On Monday, the Bengaluru court had directed Twitter to block the Twitter accounts of Congress and Bharat Jodo Yatra on the petitions filed by M Naveen Kumar, the owner of MRT Music.

In his petition, Naveen Kumar had alleged that the party had posted two videos during the Bharat Jodo Yatra with songs from the blockbuster movie 'KGF-Chapter 2' without permission in violation of the Copyright Act. The High Court stayed the lower court ruling after all the videos using the song were removed from the party's official social media accounts. It must be noted that MRT Music owns the copyright for the music of 'KGF-Chapter 2'.
