KANNUR: KPCC president K Sudhakaran on Wednesday said that the move to remove the Governor from the post of chancellor of universities is unacceptable. He further alleged that the government is trying to make political appointments in universities through the new ordinance.

"The bill will be strongly opposed when it comes to the assembly. This is the opinion of the UDF. UDF will soon call a meeting to discuss the matter. There will be different decisions in different states. That is why there was a different stand in Tamil Nadu. The Governor should stop the exercise of non-existent powers. The government and the governor should be moderate in their acts," Sudhakaran said.

Opposition leader VD Satheesan also stated that the removal of the Governor from the post of Chancellor is not acceptable. He also stated that the government is trying to communistize the universities through this ordinance.
