THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Opposition leader V D Satheesan said there is no situation to change the chancellor. The move is to appoint CPM members in that post, Satheesan said while responding to government’s decision to bring an ordinance to remove Governor Arif Mohammed Khan from the post of chancellor of universities.

The decision of the cabinet is to have one chancellor in each university. The governor has to sign the ordinance to replace the governor with an education expert as chancellor.
