ALAPPUZHA: Police have arrested a youth and his friend for sexually abusing a schoolgirl. The arrested are Arun, a private bus conductor and Manumohan, a taxi driver. Arun, the first accused, sexually abused the girl by pretending to be in love. He then handed over the girl to his friend Manumohan. In her statement, the girl said that both Arun and Manumohan sexually assaulted her.

The incident came to light during the investigation conducted by the police on the complaint that the girl was missing. Following this, the police conducted an investigation and arrested Arun and Manumohan. The police said that Arun is an accused in several cases, including POCSO cases.
