THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Minister Dr R Bindhu said that the government will proceed with the decision to remove the Governor from the Chancellor post of the state universities and if the Governor does not sign the ordinance, then the assembly will pass the bill in December. “The ordinance will not create uncertainty in the higher education sector. The ordinance becomes relevant when it comes into force. Until then, the situation will continue in the universities”, said the minister.
If there is disagreement or any fault in the ordinance, then the Governor should point it out and send it back. A bill relating to the university has been before the Governor for a year. So far it he has not pointed out what is wrong with it.
