THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Police have identified the accused who brutally thrashed a government employee in the middle of the road for allegedly honking at a traffic signal in Thiruvananthapuram. The accused are Karamana Kunjalumoodu natives Ashkar and Aneesh. The police said that both the accused are absconding.

The incident took place at Neeramankara in Thiruvananthapuram on Tuesday evening. Pradeep, a native of Neyyattinkara and an officer of the agriculture department, was brutally thrashed by the accused. The visuals of the incident had surfaced online.

There was a traffic jam at Neeramankara at the time of the incident. The people behind Pradeep's vehicle were honking. However, the accused, who were right in front of Pradeep's vehicle, attacked him thinking that it was Pradeep who honked.
