THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Former Union Minister and the BJP's Kerala prabhari Prakash Javadekar said that Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan and CPM should understand that the governor's post is a constitutional one. He also alleged that the government is trying to create chaos in the state.
"CPM is not recognizing the power of the Governor. The state government is challenging the constitution. The Chief Minister addresses the Governor by name. Minister Sivankutty threatened the Governor saying that he should remember the murder attempt on Diwan Sir CP Ramaswamy Iyer in 1947," Javadekar said.
"MV Govindan said that they will surround the Raj Bhavan and stage Gherao. There was an attempt to endanger the Governor at the opening ceremony of the History Congress at Kannur University. The problem of those leading the Kerala government is that they do not know the UGC rule. Wives of DYFI Leaders are getting appointed by illegal means," he added.
