MELBOURNE: A huge prize money awaits England who defeated Pakistan in the T20 World Cup final. England beat Pakistan's target of 138 runs with 5 wickets and 6 balls to spare. According to ICC’s announcement, the T20 champions will get 1.6 million US dollars (Rs 13 crores).

The runners-up Pakistan will receive 0.8 million dollars (Rs 6.5 crore). ICC also offers prize money to semi-finalists. The teams that lose in the semi-finals will get eight lakh dollars. A team will get 400,000 dollars. India and New Zealand who lost in the semi-finals will get this amount. This will be Rs 3 crore and 22 lakhs.

Each team that reached the Super 12 and got eliminated will get $70,000 (Rs 56 lakhs) each. Every win in the Super 12 stage has prize money. Each winning team will get an extra 40000 dollars ( Rs 32 lakh).
