PATHANAMTHITTA: It has been confirmed that the dead bodies recovered from the house of the accused in the Elanthoor human sacrifice case are those of Padma and Roslyn. The confirmation came after the DNA tests of the bodies were completed. The bodies of both will be handed over to their relatives tomorrow. The police have instructed the relatives to reach the Kottayam Medical College tomorrow.

The murders took place in the first week of June and the last week of September. Padma's son Selvaraj had written a letter to the Chief Minister requesting to release Padma's body. Padma (52), who lived at Ponnurunni in Kochi, was a native of Tamil Nadu. She was doing lottery business on Chittoor Road, Kochi. Padma went missing on September 26. The information regarding the human sacrifice came out while the police were investigating Padma's missing case.

Police had arrested Elanthoor native Bhagawal Singh, his wife Laila and Perumbavoor native Mohammed Shafi in the case.
