The trailer of Shaji Kailas' film ‘Kaapa’ starring Prithviraj and Asif Ali will be released today at 6 pm. Sarigama and Theatre of Dreams are producing the film which will hit the theatres on December 22. Aparna Balamurali is the female lead of the film. Theatre of Dreams started by the partnership of Jinu V Abraham, Dolvin Kuriakose and Dileesh Nair and Sarigama India private Ltd is producing the film in collaboration with FEFKA Writers Union.

The script of the film is based on Indu Gopan's famous novel ‘Shankhumukhi’. Indu Gopan himself is writing the screenplay. ‘Kappa’ story is based on the backdrop of local goons in Thiruvananthapuram.

Prithviraj's look in the film and his role as ‘Kotta Madhu’ have already garnered attention on social media. Apart from Prithviraj and Aparna, the film also stars Asif Ali and Anna Ben in the lead roles. Dileesh Pothan, Jagadish and Nandu are also among the cast.
